Welcome to the Postgraduate Program in Chemistry of Natural Products!

The Postgraduate Program in Chemistry of Natural Products at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro was one of the pioneers of postgraduate research and teaching in Brazil, with the registration of Master courses in 1969 and Doctorate courses in 1990. With more than 50 years of existence, we have already trained around 300 masters and 170 doctors.

We have as objectives the research and training of human resources appointed in the area of Chemistry, with an inter and multidisciplinary bias directed to Life Sciences.

This Postgraduate Program is located at the Natural Products Research Institute, at the Health Sciences Center of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
